Question 4:

Throughout my ED4135 blog i have incorperated multiple of the educational theorists.

The most predominate theorist I have used throughout the blog is Howard Gardner. Gardner developed the theory of multiple intelligences. He proposed eight different means of judging individuals ability. These are Gardner’s multiple intelligence:

1. Linguistic intelligence
2. Musical intelligence
3. Logical- mathematical intelligence
4. Spatial intelligence
5. Bodily-Kinaesthetic intelligence
6. Interpersonal intelligence
7. Interpersonal intelligence
8. Naturalistic intelligence
I have given numerous links to webpage’s on Gardner’s multiple intelligences. I found this was a site I used often. There is a picture that I used that links to this site below. http://www.studentretentioncenter.ucla.edu/sfiles/multipleintelligences.htm

The reason I included Gardner throughout the blog is because ICT tools such as computers cater for all these intelligences. Therefore using computers in the classroom would cater for all your students learning styles.

Piaget is one of the most influential educational theorists and therefore is mention in my blog. He identified the four stages of cognitive development which are: Sensorimotor Stage, Preoperational Stage, Concrete Operations stage, and Formal Operations Stage.
Piaget claims that every person passes through these stages in chronological order. Although the age of these stages varies, this is because each person cognitively develops at different times and paces.
